Mourinho Declares His G.O.A.T, Not Ronaldo Or Messi

Jose Mourinho has been given a chance to name who his greatest and finest footballer of all-time and the Portugese gaffer named neither of Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.

The former Chelsea and Manchester United boss instead sees Brazil striker Ronaldo as his best ever player.

Mourinho was privileged to see the Brazilian star – who played for both Real Madrid and Barcelona – from close quarters early on in his career and its he who has had the greatest impression on him.

The Portuguese boss worked as the then-interpreter to Barcelona boss, Bobby Robson during the English man’s stint at the Camp Nou and Ronaldo was one of the players signed by the Blaugranas at the time.

One of the deadliest forward to have ever graced the game first played at the Nou Camp for one full season before going on to play for both Real Madrid and Inter Milan.

Mourinho rates the two-time World Cup winner as his best ever, even above both Messi and Ronaldo who have both shared the spoils of individual accolades in the last decade.

“Ronaldo, El Fenomeno, Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi have had longer careers, they have remained at the top every day for 15 years,” the highly-rated manager told LiveScore.

“However, if we are talking strictly about talent and skill, nobody surpasses Ronaldo [Nazario].

“When he was at Barcelona with Bobby Robson, I realised that he was the best player I’d ever seen take to the field.

“Injuries killed a career that could have been even more incredible, but the talent that that 19-year-old boy had was something incredible.

“In 1997, Barcelona played against PSG in Rotterdam and Ronaldo’s goal, 1-0. Awesome.”

The deadly forward found the net 47 times in just 49 appearances for the Blaugranas that term.

That remains till date the most prolific season of the Brazilian’s career.
