N-Power: FG set to pay Beneficiaries N30,000
The Federal Government has announced that it has begun the process of paying a N30,000 monthly stipend to beneficiaries of the N-Power program.
Speaking to newsmen at the weekend, Mr Laolu Akande, who is the Senior Special Assistant for Media and Publicity to the Office of the Vice President, made this known on Friday. He said, successfully verified beneficiaries who had provided valid bank accounts were already being processed for payment, stating that some candidates will receive their first payment as early as the first week of January.
Mr. Akande went on to urge the N-Power beneficiaries to take their training seriously.
“Already, close to 50% of the 200,000 unemployed graduates selected in the first batch of N-Power job program have now been verified and being processed for stipends’ payment.”
“This process will continue and some will receive their stipends after the New Year public holiday, starting from Tuesday, 3rd of January.”
“N-Power Volunteer Corps members are encouraged to take their virtual training seriously over this period.” said Mr Akande.
Following the massive unemployment bedevilling graduates from tertiary institutions in Nigeria, the Muhammadu Buhari administration had instituted the N-Power programme as a means of creating employment for the teeming employed unemployed graduates in the country while training them in various skills.
