Ndidi Flattered By Rumours Linking Him To Manchester United

Wilfred Ndidi, Premier League best tackler and Leicester Young Player of the Year for the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons has said he is flattered by rumours linking him with a move to Old Trafford.

Ndidi’s impressive stats and performances has seen him linked with a number of top sides including Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.

The Super Eagles midfielder had been linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium following a superb season with the Foxes.

The 22 year old combative midfield performances last term drew plaudits from fans of the Nigerian and even critics alike attracting interest from top European clubs.

However, while Ndidi feels flattered about the compliments, praises and transfer speculations, his feet is firmly on the ground and wont be giving a second thought about the rumours with his mind according to him focused on the goings of the AFCON 2019 competition for his Nigerian side.

“I am flattered when hearing such a thing,” Ndidi said to Goal.com.

“It is very good to hear about that interest from big clubs, but there is nothing on the ground so I won’t care about it.

“I am focusing on AFCON with Nigeria now, and then pre-season with Leicester City. We have a great manager with the ambition to compete with big clubs in the Premier League.”

The midfielder was brought in to fill in the void left by Ngolo Kante who made a move to Stamford Bridge to play for last season’s Europa League winners, Chelsea.
