Liverpool have a chance to keep their Champions League disappointment behind them and switch their focus to their Premier League chase of league leaders, Manchester City when they take a trip to St.James Park for their game against Newcastle United.

Benitez has once again worked wonders at St. James Park since his arrival and can once again fold his hands knowing fully well that the Magpies are assured of top-flight football next term.
That said, it looks like Benitez has set a greater target for himself, one which surpasses mere survival with more and more clubs with loftier ambitions knocking on his door and raising speculations over his Newcastle future.
The Magpies recent form have shown that they can put on some show for the top half of the table of some reinforcements are brought in with only Manchester City, Liverpool, Leicester City and Chelsea having picked up more points than they themselves in their last 10 league outings.
They have won six of their last seven games at the St. James Park, 18 points from 21 on offer and will be up against a Liverpool team that are no strangers to manager, Rafael Benitez.

A defeat against Barcelona with a seven minute spark by the diminutive demi-god, Lionel Messi which changed the complexion of the game from a 1-0 deficit to a 3-0 chasm will always be a hard one to stomach especially when your side had played their best but Klopp would be charged with the responsibility of reminding his side that they have to get a win while hoping for a slip-up from Manchester City if they are to avoid going trophyless this season.
There is really nothing Liverpool can do if Manchester City go all the way to win their remaining two games but the onus lies on them to win their games and hope for the best.
