Kaduna Stands Still For Buhari

Thousands of All Progressive Congress (APC) supporters, as well as residents of Kaduna, waited for 10 hours for the arrival of President Muhammad Buhari who was in the state in continuation of his presidential campaign tour.

As early as 6 am on Friday  APC supporters and well wishers besieged the Ahmadu Bello stadium, venue of the event.

However, the president arrived at the Kaduna airport around 3 pm in the company of the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomole and governors of Kebbi, Atiku Bagudu, Zamfara, Abdulaziz Yari and Lagos, Ambode.

But the journey to the stadium was another nightmare as it took the presidential convoy another one hour to reach the 30,000 capacity stadium which was already filled with party supporters and well-wishers.

President Muhammad Buhari who spoke in Hausa said he took over a sick nation. He remarked that one of his major achievements was not allowing criminals to have a field day on the nation’s wealth.


FG’s Fabrications Against Atiku Dead On Arrival ― PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organization (PPCO) has said that the trump-up allegation made by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, against the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is laughable and dead on arrival.

The Minister had said that Atiku has a case to answer when he returns from his present trip to the US over the collapse of Bank PHB having allegedly benefited from a slush fund to the tune of N150 million from the failed bank.

Addressing a press conference in Abuja on Friday, Kola Ologbondiyan Director, Media & Publicity PDP Presidential Campaign Organization, observed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s “heinous plot to frame the PDP Presidential Candidate,” is out of fear that he Atiku already coasting to victory in the February 16 Presidential election.


Atiku’s Visit To US An Attempt To Score Cheap Political Point ― APC In UK

THE All Progressives Congress (APC) United Kingdom Chapter, says Abubakar Atiku’s visit to the United States would not change Nigerians perception about him.

Mr Ade Omole, Leader, APC UK chapter stated this while reacting to the development in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Abuja.

Atiku’s visit to the US was the first in 12 years, following an alleged corruption case.


Elections: Buhari Goes Emotional As PDM Declares Support

In what was seen as a setback for the candidacy of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM), a political movement started by Shehu Yar’Adua today declared support for President Buhari.

Atiku, who is now in America on a foreign campaign, has always regarded Yar’Adua as his mentor and leader.

But today, the founding chairman of the PDM, Dr. Farouk Abdulaziz led other executives to declare support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s candidacy. Among the delegates was the current chairman, Senator Abubakar Mahdi.


Kwara APC Faction Protests INEC’s Exclusion Of Its NASS Candidates

Chairman of the court-backed All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state, Hon. Ishola Balogun-Fulani has protested non-listing of the party’s candidates in the list of National Assembly candidates released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday.

Speaking with journalists in Ilorin on Friday, Balogun-Fulani decried and condemned the decision of INEC to list the candidates of the factional APC led by Bashir Bolarinwa.

Balogun-Fulani also said that his party viewed the INEC’s action as tantamount to disobeying the court judgment affirming him as authentic state chairman of APC.

Big Brother Naija Returns For 2019, To Hold In Nigeria

Popular reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, is set to return for a fourth season with the producers of the show also revealing that the Big Brother House will be brought back to Nigeria. Auditions for the show will hold on the 1st and 2nd of February 2018 in eight locations across Nigeria, an increase from six in previous editions.

In addition, Nigeria’s betting website, Bet9ja, was been announced as headline sponsors of the new season.

The reality TV show which follows the format of the international Big Brother franchise is known to bring excitement and entertainment to fans and viewers across the continent as it houses strangers over a period of three months who contest against each other in a battle of wits for the ultimate prize.

Specific locations and times for the auditions in February will be announced subsequently.


We Need To Restructure For Nigeria To Work —Labinjo

Professor Adesegun Labinjo, national chairman of the United States chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has said that Nigeria needs to be restructured for it to work.

Professor Labinjo said “So many things are wrong with the existing political structure. You have a section of the political class that is capricious and greedy. So, we must restructure in the area of resource management and control. We must bring an end to free fund; people must be ready to work to make a living. The constituent units of the country must be ready to look inward and not depend solely on the resources of others to survive. The current system encourages indolence and kills initiative and hard work. When we restructure, the individual entities will zero in on their resources, potential and endowment maximally.”

“When we restructure, we would have succeeded in promoting greater co-existence, discouraging inertia as leaders and their people will think outside the box and come up with pragmatic and realistic solution to the general needs of the people. ”

He further said “A restructured Nigeria will address the current crisis of confidence, impunity and corruption in all forms; we would have returned to the path of greatness, fairness, justice and equity, which are essential ingredients for nation-building and the attainment of nationhood.”


Osinbajo Promises ‘Next Level’ Of ‘TraderMoni’

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo had recently visited Karu, Mpape and Kubwa all satellite towns in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in continuation of his community engagement ahead of the presidential election.

At Mpape, Osinbajo told a huge gathering of women, community leaders and youths that the government of President Muhammadu Buhari was for the common people.

He said that it was the love for the common man that informed government’s decision to empower the poor.

He said the Buhari administration was setting up a bank called the PeopleMoni Bank with a view to lending money to artisans and traders so that they could also grow.


Edo PDP Chairman Slams Oshiomhole

The Edo State Chairman of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dan Orbih has slammed the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole over his open declaration that the sins of former PDP members who join the ruling party are forgiven once they defect.

Orbih who spoke in Benin yesterday was however not amused by the open declaration, insisting that Oshiomhole’s confession goes to show the belief in some quarters that APC as a party is a collection of hypocrites who are only out to witch hunt members of the opposition under the guise of fighting corruption.

He said: “It Is now clear to Nigerians that the people in APC are hypocrites who instead of going to God to beg for the forgiveness of their sins, go to APC for political forgiveness.”
