Informant Murdered In Kastina

An alleged informant who was suspected to be collaborating with kidnappers was murdered this evening by mob action in Dutsinma LGA, Katsina

Eye witnesses said a gun and cutlass was recovered on the deceased body just as three others believed to be working along with the suspect took to their heels.

According to sources, the villagers are said to have launched a man hunt for the remaining three suspects.


APGA mourns Shagari

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has described the death of the death of former President Shehu Shagari as the end of an unforgettable era and a national loss.

In a statement by the National Chairman of the party, Dr Victor Ike Oye, he expressed sadness over the death of Ex-President Shagari.

He said: “The death of an iconic politician who played politics with fineness, candour, integrity and without bitterness”.

He prayed God to grant his soul eternal repose and the family the courage to bear his loss.


Buhari Medically Unfit For Office – CUPP

The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has raised fresh alarm over the health status of President Muhammadu Buhari.

CUPP said allegations made by his wife that the presidency had been hijacked by some people, Buhari’s refusal to take questions from Nigerian journalists and only having to read from prepared speeches were confirmation that he wasn’t fit to continue in office.


This Is The Cabal Controlling Buhari – Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri, ex-aide on New Media to immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan, has revealed one of the purported strong members of the cabal allegedly controlling President Muhammadu Buhari government.

He made the disclosure on Sunday, while sharing a photo of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Governor, Godwin Emefiele, bending to listen to one Alhaji Ismaila Isa Funtua, whisper instructions to his ear.

Funtua, who is the Chairman of Bulet International Construction Company, is reportedly said to be a close friend of President Buhari.


Be Neutral during 2019 Polls, Military Warns Personnel

The Nigerian Army has again vowed to punish any of its officers and men who flout the military’s order to be non-partisan during the 2019 general election.

The army also warned against the indiscriminate use of the social media by soldiers, urging officers to adhere strictly to its extant rules on social media use.


Military to Relocate Residents of Baga

The military has said there is an ongoing plan to relocate the residents of Baga in Borno State, a town that recently came under the attack of Boko Haram insurgents.

The military said the planned relocation is to give room for massive bombardment of the terrorist group and to prevent civilian casualties.

The military however said that there was no basis for the people of Bama, Dikwa and Monguno to vacate their respective communities as there was no immediate threat to them.


2019: Katsina PDP Launches ‘Person-To-Person’ Campaign For Atiku

The PDP has embarked on a new strategy as part of its measures to secure Katsina State votes for its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. The PDP named the strategy as “PDP Sawuta” campaign project.

Unveiling the campaign strategy in Katsina on Sunday, the PDP Chairman, Alhaji Salisu Majigiri, said that the party was set to deliver the state for Atiku on February 16 as it would secure the governorship and other elective positions.


MASSOB Denies Abia Govt Lodge’s Attack

Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has disassociated its members from alleged planned attack on the Abia State Governor’s Lodge in Aba and Umuobiakwa Ngwa, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s the village by pro Biafra agitators.

MASSOB also seized the opportunity to warn desperate politicians planning to use thugs and cultists in disguise as pro-Biafra agitators to cause mayhem in the South East especially Abia State, to desist from such plans, asserting that the group would resist such intentions.


Lagos House of Reps member, Abayomi Ayeola dies

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State has described the death of Mr. Abayomi Ayeola, a member of the House of Representatives, representing Ibeju Lekki Federal Constituency of the state as a “great loss” to the party and the state at a period like this.

Ayeola, who had won the primary election for the third term under the platform of APC, to contest in the 2019 general elections, reportedly died at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, Sunday, afternoon after a brief illness.


3 policemen dismissed for robbing Togo-based businessman in Lagos

Three policemen attached to Ijanikin Division in Lagos State have been dismissed from the Force for robbing a Togo-based Nigerian, Theodore Ifunnaya, of 350,000 CFA (about N221,508).

The Non Commissioned Officers (NCOs), namely: Sgt. Gbemunu Afolabi, Sgt. Afolabi Oluwaseun and Cpl. Adigun Omotayo, were dismissed over corruption charges.

Lagos State Police Command Spokesman, CSP Chike Oti, confirmed the dismissal on Sunday, stressing that another policeman, an Inspector, involved in the crime was recommended to the AIG Zone 2 for dismissal.
