Nigerian Police Force speaks on stealing of pants and other get-rich-quick rituals

– NPF PRO, ACP, Frank Mba spoke about the recent stealing of pants for ritual purpose

– He noted that the Police can’t investigate things that are not verifiable 

The Nigerian Police Force PRO, ACP Frank Mba in an interview on NTA Good Morning Programme spoke about the growing menace of Get-Rich-Quick and ritual practice in Nigeria.

ACP Frank Mba in his statement made mention of the recent trend of stealing females pant for ritual purposes.

He however made it known that the Police can’t investigate things that are not verifiable except if it has to do with murder or other related cases.

Stealing of underwear for whatsoever reason is a recent phenomenon, before now, we had cases of rituals killings but we can’t investigate things that are not empirically verifiable except when there is convergence of the act like cases of murder or an attempt or related crimes,” he said.

The Police PRO also made it known that the Police Force doesn’t investigate divinations or morality except if it has to do with criminal offence.

He said, “We don’t investigate divinations or morality except for related acts that constitute a criminal offence. Apart from factors like unemployment etc what we have on home videos,TV programs and messages being sent out.”

ACP Frank Mba also spoke on the use of drug and substance abuse as he urged the youth to desist from it or be ready to face the consequences

He said “Drug and substance abuses are strong conscience suppressors that influence our youth into these wicked acts of fetish and ritual killings for get-rich-quick. While we’ll continue to fight the menace of drug abuse head-on, we want our youths to desist or be ready to bear the consequences.”
The Police PRO also said that parents and the religious houses have work to do to put an end to ritual killings among others.
