Postal codes in Nigeria are made up of six digits numbers. NIPOST, the Nigerian Postal Service, divides Nigeria into nine regions, to make up first number of the postal code. The second and third numbers, combined with the first, are the dispatch district for outgoing sorting. The last three numbers represent the delivery location.
