We also gathered that President Donal Trump will not be addressing the press over the recent development as expected. This could be because there was no American casualty.

Apparent break in the military action for the moment. Confirmed 3 targets hit in Iraq: Al Asad, Taji, & the US consulate in Erbil. No American casualties reported so far. Iran is threatening to escalate their attacks into other countries if the US retaliates.

Iran has the right to self-defense under international law. If you don’t like Iran exercising this right and striking US military bases:
1) Don’t commit acts of war against Iran
2) End the illegal US occupation of Iraq
3) Remove US military bases which aggressively encircle Iran— Ajit Singh (@ajitxsingh) January 8, 2020

“U.S. radar was able to track the missiles in flight and, as a result, personnel at the base were able to take cover before they were hit.” A U.S. official said four of the 15 Iranian missiles failed in flight, @DavidCloudLAT reports: https://t.co/bVXjFgu4Ja

I’m paying attention to events in Iraq & keeping U.S. personnel, partners & civilians close in my thoughts.
We MUST de-escalate immediately or even more American lives will be at risk.
Congress must, in a bipartisan way, reassert our authority & choose diplomacy—not war. https://t.co/M4N9DONcCL

No US casualties reported yet, says US official. A total of 15 Iranian missiles hit al Asad and Irbil. 10 struck al Asad and only 1 hit Irbil. 4 blew up in flight. US was tracking the launches and personnel at the bases had advanced warning, giving them time to take cover.
