Ogun Governor-Elect Dapo Abiodun reacts to the death of father to Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat

– Ogun State Governor-Elect, Dapo Abiodun has reacted to the death of Oba Mufutau Hamzat, who is the father to Lagos state Deputy Governor Elect, Dr. Kadri Hamzat

In a latest statement released and signed by the Ogun state Governor-elect, Dapo Abiodun, he has sent his condolence message to the Family of Hamzat and the Afowowa community in Ewekoro Local of Ogun state over the passing away of Oba Mufutau Olatunji Hamzat.

The late Oba happens to be the father to Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat and also to the Deputy Governor-Elect of Lagos, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.

Dapo Abiodun in his condolence message stressed that the late Oba Mufutau Hamzat lived a very purposeful, accomplished and fulfilling life.

Below is a statement released by Dapo Abiodun

I received the news of the passing of HRH Oba Mufutau Olatunji Hamzat; The Olu of Afowowa in Ewekoro Local Government of Ogun State with shock.

The late Oba is the father of our dear Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat and also the father of the Deputy Governor-Elect of Lagos, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat. 
My family, myself and the good people of Ogun State hereby commiserate with the entire Hamzat family.

May the Lord grant him eternal peace whilst granting the family left behind the heart to bear this irreplaceable loss and the fortitude to carry on being consoled that their Dad lived a very purposeful, accomplished and fulfilling life.

The Late Oba Mufutau Hamzat passed away on Sunday in Ogun state.

During his lifetime before becoming a king, Oba Mufutau Hamzat was a frontline politician in Lagos state in the first republic and he was a leading member of the Action Group and Unity Party of Nigeria in the second republic.
