Olujimi Holding Congress Officials Hostage, Lere Olayinka Raises Alarm

Lere Olayinka, the media aide of former Ekiti Governor, Ayodele Fayose has raised alarm over the state congress.

According to Lere, who was recently released on bail by Ado Magistrate Court over alleged financial misappropriation brought against him by the Ekiti State Government alleged that one of the chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the state, Senator Biodun Olijimi has held hostage officials sent from Abuja to observe the process.

Olujimi and Fayose have never been in Good terms concerning the leadership of the state.

“Up till now, officials sent from Abuja by the PDP to conduct the Ward Congress in Ekiti are being held hostage by armed thugs brought by Olujimi and others, with the aim of hijacking materials used for the congress. The thugs are being backed by Policemen from Ekiti Govt House,” he tweeted.
