Omokri Forgives Sowore, Calls on Nigerians to Help Meet Bail Condition
- Omokri calls on Nigerians to rally round in securing Sowore’s bail conditions.
Reno Omokri, a former media aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan has said he has forgiven the convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore.
Omoyele Sowore, and co-defendant, Olawale Bakare, are yet to perfect the bail granted them on by a Federal High Court in Abuja. The owner of SaharReporters, an online media alongside Bakare are facing allegations ranging from treason among others.
Omokri who has been a staunch critic of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Al, Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the likes of Femi Falana who is Sowore’s counsel, Kaduna Governor, Nasir El-Rufai amongst others to come to his rescue haven allegedly consorted with him.

In a series of tweets, he said that Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe risked his position to stand for IPoB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu. Read below.

Enyinnaya Abaribe put his Senatorial position at risk to stand surety for Nnamdi Kanu and in 3 days of being granted bail, Kanu was free. My question is this: Are there no Senators from Ondo who can do same for Sowore?

It is sad that #FreeSowore hashtaggers moved on. Once #BBNaija reached its crescendo, I stopped seeing #FreeSowore and started seeing Tacha trend. Nothing prepared me for the way Nigerians moved on from #FreeSowore!
