Osibajo Reveals How He Will Recoup The Money He Spent During 2019 Election – Osinbajo [Video]

Osinbajo calls for a responsible press in order to avoid confusion in society.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has explained the power behind the social media where everyone has access to information.

Speaking during the appreciation dinner organised for the Media at the State House, Osinbajo explained that he reads newspaper reports, social media comments about him, some he finds absurd, hilarious and insulting.

Reminding the gathering that he had published when he was teaching law at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), the Vice President jokingly said he needs to bring the book back to the counter because he needs to recoup the money he spent during the 2019 elections.

Speaking further, he wondered why some media outfits and social media users report and publish information from the perspective of the subject without actually finding out the real situation. He cited the case of a video of a building burning in India and it was tagged as a Xenophobic attack on Nigerians in India and a woman was swearing for the President Muhmadu Buhari administration over such video.

The video below shows Osinbajo addressing other media issues where he urged the media practitioners to do the needful in curbing fake news that could cause social strife and even war.
