Paris Saint Germain Vs Manchester United UCL 05 March Preview

Manchester United have a mountain to climb when they go away in their second leg encounter of their double-legged last 16 tie with French giants and stylish boys, Paris Saint Germain after trailing by two goals in last month’s clash at Old Trafford.

Paris Saint Germain

Although the French giants boast the likes of world class players in Edinson Cavani and Neymar, they have lost them to injuries and are now spearheaded by teenage sensation, Kylian Mbappe.

PSG have lost just one of their last 16 Champions League home games at home, winning 10 in the process.

Significantly, none of the last six English teams to face PSG in the French capital have won, a record they would love to keep that way.

The French giants might have lost the sting of the attacking threat they normally possess, they would however rely on the poaching instincts of Kylian Mbappe to provide them a win over injury-plagued Manchester United.

Manchester United

The odds are massively stacked against Manchester United at the moment. Although, the Red devils have produced results in the league, they simply stand no chance against PSG on paper due to the recent injuries they’ve endured.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has recorded 13 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat in his 16 games in charge and looks to have overturned the fortunes of the team. Well, not without a cost.

Injuries to Matic, Herrera, Mata, Martial  Lingard and recently Sanchez have left the team with limited options to a Starting XI tweak. Pogba would be missing the fixture due to a red card he received in the first leg thwarting United hopes of fielding an attacking midfielder.

What they could make of this team might remain unclear but Ole Gunnar is the best at shutting the mouths of critics, isn’t he?
