PDP Publicly Reject Kaduna State Governorship Election Results

The Peoples Democratic Party in Kaduna state has publicly come out to reject in its entirety, the results of the governorship election conducted in Kaduna state in which INEC declared the incumbent governor identified as Nasir El-Rufai, winner of the state governorship election.

PDP party’s agent identified as Jerry Ishaya, who revealed this at the Kaduna State Collation Centre on Monday morning, stated that the result that was announced by INEC is not the true reflection of the votes which were cast on Saturday during the Governorship elections.

Jerry Ishaya further explained that PDP agents in Zaria, Kabau, Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Igabi, Soba and Lere Local Government Areas of the state have informed the party leadership that card readers were not used at all and those security agents and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission connived to steal the mandate of the people.

“We have formally written the INEC that card readers were not used in those local government areas mentioned. Our agents told us how security agents overpowered them in some areas. The results were manipulated in collaboration with the INEC, security agents.”

The Deputy Director-General of the Kaduna PDP Campaign Organisation identified as Danjuma Sarki, also explained and questioned how APC scored almost the same result during the Presidential and Governorship elections when it was obvious that the turnout was low in the governorship election.

Danjuma Sarki statement read:

“The result was not the true reflection of votes cast. The result of the Governorship elections is more than that of the Presidential which recorded high voters turn out.”
