Perisic Joins Bayern Subject To Medicals Results

After injury thwarted Bayern Munich signs of landing Manchester City winger, Leroy Sane, the Bavarians now seem to be closing in on the signing of Ivan Perisic.

The Inter Milan winger is now set to complete a move to the Allianz arena after undergoing a medical with Bayern.

Perisic, 30, has long been linked with a move away from the San Siro and is now expected to join the Bundesliga Champions on an initial season long loan with an option to make the deal permanent next season.

The Croatian pictured leaving a hospital in Munich on Monday told Bild:

“Yeah, I just had the medical check-up.”

Antonio Conte has now given Perisic the go-ahead to move to a different club as he sees no fit for the 30 year old in his plans.

The former Chelsea boss said sometime in July on the back of a1-0 International Champions Cup defeat to Manchester United that he was in talks with the winger but that the responses weren’t quite positive.

“We’re working with him, but his response isn’t positive.

“Perisic can’t play in the role that I want. Therefore, he can only play as a striker right now.”

While Inter do not have plans for the winger within their ranks, the Bavarians are more than happy to let him into their starting eleven.

Bayern manager, Niko Kovac is currently in the market for a new winger having lost both Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben at the close of the campaign.

Perisic could offer competition for both Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry and could complete the move just in time for their opening game against Hertha Berlin on Friday.

The winger has previously plied his trade in the Bundesliga before making way to Wolfsburg midway through the 2012-13 season.

He scored 27 goals in 100 appearances for Wolfsburg before making a move to the Nerazzuris in 2015 and netting 40 times in total during his stay there.
