PMB in Japan: Who Says Nnamdi Kanu Is Not Relevant?, Fani-Kayode Asks

• Presidency urges Nigerians to dismiss alleged protests against the president.

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has stated that the leader of proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has shown his relevance with protest by some members of the group in Japan after the arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Kanu had threatened to arrest the president, whom he alleged to have committed mass murder.

Fani-Kayode, a staunch critic of the ruling government took to his Twitter page to praise Kanu.

“He orders his men to protest in Japan and they do. He orders his men to protest in Nuremberg and they do. He orders his men to boycott elections and they do. He orders his men to shut down the east and they do. Does anyone still think @MaziNnamdiKanu  is not relevant?,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, the presidency in a reaction to the protest said the proscribed group has had nothing to do with President Muhammadu Buhari since he arrived Yokohama, Japan, on Monday.

In a statement by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on media and publicity urged Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora to disregard “concocted stories, backed with spurious visuals, of any protest or harassment of the President and his team.

“It is the stock-in-trade of hate mongers, who do not realize that the rest of Nigerians have left them far behind.
