Pulisic Bags Perfect Hattrick To Down Burnley

Christian Pulisic scored a brilliant hattrick to guide Chelsea past a bogey Burnley side. The American who was brought in to fill the heavy shoes of Eden Hazard who left for the Santiago Bernabeu justified his huge tag with the incredible goal rush.

The former Dortmund midfielder arrived Chelsea as a £56.8million signing from Bundesliga giants, Dortmund but has hardly made any starts for the Blues.

Before the game against Burnley, there had been only 149 hattricks scored in Chelsea club history.

Pulisic would enter into the record books for taking that tally to 150.

Before now, the midfielder was only good for the bench. However, in unusual fashion the 26-year-old got the nod to start the game and repaid the faith his manager had put in him.

Willian then followed it up to make it four nil. Burnely however fought back and returned two to make it only a two-goal difference.

Chelsea academy players once more showed the stuff they are made of with Mason Mount giving the assist for Pulisic’s third and Tammy Abraham turning provider for the fourth of the evening.

Could the transfer ban have been a blessing in disguise? Or perhaps, it’s the brilliance of Frank Lampard that has rubbed off on the young lads?

When they lost by a devastating 4-0 scoreline to Manchester United on opening day, they looked like they were up for a heavy downfall. However, they are now up there on the Premier League standings.

They occupy fourth position on the log and tally same points with fourth-placed Leicester City.

For this game, they have the praises of Christian Pulisic to sing, with the American recording a perfect hattrick – a goal with the left leg, right leg and a header to cap it all.

He was lively through the game and deservedly won the man of the match award for his impressive showings.
