Rabiot Agent Gives Update On Midfielder’s Transfer

Adrien Rabiot’s agent has watered down claims that Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint Germain made a last minute attempt to keep him in Paris and stresses that the midfielder will be leaving the club this summer amidst interest from Manchester United.

Reports last week suggest that Serie A winners, Juventus were preparing to make a move for the highly sought free agent but a late offer by PSG had thrown the move to the bin.

The exceptional midfielder is available for free this summer after running down his contract in Paris although consequently he hasn’t played since last year December.

Manchester United have maintained their interest in signing Rabiot as they look to reinforce their midfield after completing the signing of right back Wan Bissaka.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is thought to be in search for a perfect replacement for Ander Herrera and Rabiot leads the list as a cheap option following his release from PSG.

His agent and mother, Veronique is adamant that her son still has plans of leaving Paris.

“I read absolutely everything. That Adrien had an appointment with Leonardo [sporting director] that he did not honour. Or that I received an offer to extend his contract from Leonardo that I refused to raise the auction.

“This is absolutely wrong. There is not the slightest discussion between Leonardo and I.

“I had him on the phone once since he came back and we greeted each other with respect. He’s a smart person. There was no offer and there will not be any.

“You know, in football, we’re very superstitious, and it’s better to say as little as you can until nothing is done.”

A move to England very much appeals to Rabiot but United missing out on Champions League football may surpress his interest in playing for Manchester United.

That said, Juventus is also a possibility for Rabiot with the midfielder speaking so highly of the Biaconeris.
