Real Madrid Complete Signing Of Luka Jovic

Real Madrid’s busy transfer window has gotten underway with the signing or Eintracht Frankfurt striker, Luka Jovic. The Spanish giants officially made the announcement on Tuesday.

The Serb arrives the Santiago Bernabeu on a six year deal and moves from Enitracht Frankfurt where he played on loan from Portuguese giants, Benfica last term before the Bundesliga club signed him for €6million.

Jovic has now secured a move to the Bernabeu for €70 million with 30 percent of that sum payable to Benfica.

The Laliga giants made this announcement via a brief statement on social media which read:

“Real Madrid CF and Eintracht Frankfurt have agreed to the transfer of player Luka Jovic, pending a medical examination.

“The player will be tied to the club for the next six seasons, until June 30, 2025.”

At only 21 years, the Serb took the whole of Europe by storm where he notched 21 goals and seven assists in the Bundesliga and 27 goals in 47 appearances.

Many elite clubs were reported to have shown interest in Luka Jovic but Real Madrid were the frontrunners moving ahead of the pack to sign the 21 year old.

Jovic is good with aerial balls and would likely form a good attacking pair with Karim Benzema up front as the Spanish club are looking to rebuild the team after a poor showing in the just concluded season.

With Eder Militao and Rodrygo already at the Bernabeu and the pair of Hazard and Ferland Mendy already enroute, Real Madrid have gotten off to a strong start and will be looking to make a statement come next season.

Frankfurt sporting director said that Jovic was going to be a big loss for the German side

“Luka Jovic is a big loss for us.

“His explosiveness and scoring skills have spread throughout Europe and we’ve benefited not only from his goals over the past two years.

“But for us it was clear that there is a financial pain threshold.

“For Eintracht Frankfurt this is a good and important transfer. We wish Luka only the best for his future.”
