Real Madrid have reportedly completed the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt forward, Luka Jovic for a sum of £52.4 million according to DailyMail.
Jovic who has scored 27 goals in his last 47 appearances in all competitions has been hugely fantastic for Frankfurt this season.
The German club have only just recently exercised an option to buy him on permanent basis from Benfica this summer.
As reported by Sky, Spanish giants, Real Madrid are looking to bring in Jovic on a five-year contract as the club makes continuous and conscious effort towards a summer rebuild.
Frankfurt will have to pay £10.5m of the transfer fee to Benfica according to a report by Skysports.
Jovic stirred the German side, Frankfurt to the semi-finals of the Europa league and has been brought in as Zinedine Zidane’s first signing since his return to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid are looking to improve on their performances that sees them 18 points adrift of league winners, Barcelona with only one game left to play.
After starting out his professional career at Red Star Belgrade, Jovic joined Portuguese side Benfica in 2016 but played just four times for the Portuguese giants before heading to Frankfurt on a two-year loan deal.
Frankfurt still have two Bundesliga matches to play his campaign with one to Wolfsburg and the other to Bayern Munich. At the end of the campaign, it is expected that Frankfurt make an official statement regarding Jovic’s future.
Jovic who has made 13 appearances for national side Serbia is expected to be the first of a long list of summer signings who will come into the Bernabeu this summer.
The Serb scored 10 goals for his German club side in their run-in to the Europa League finals where they finally lost out to Chelsea who will now be faced with Arsenal in the finals to be held in Baku on the 29th of May.
