Real Politics is Different from Social Media – Keyamo Mocks Dino Melaye, Bukola Saraki And Shehu Sani

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has mocked former senators who were always on Twitter.

He is directly referring to the likes of Senate President Bukola Saraki, former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, and of Kogi West, Dino Melaye.

Saraki lost the bid to return to the chamber after losing re-election to Senator Ibrahim Oloriegbe of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Sanni, on his part, was suspended by the APC in Kaduna and was forced to contest under the platform of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP).

Melaye also recently lost the bid to return to the upper chamber after losing the rerun to Smart Adeyemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Keyamo took to his Twitter page to mock the former lawmakers. In his post, he said real politics is different from social media.

“Have you noticed that ALL Twitter Senators are finally out of the Upper Chambers? It tells us that the world of REAL politics in Africa is not yet played on social media. Social media has not had a SUBSTANTIAL impact on our politics. REAL politics is different from Social Media,” he wrote.
