“Religion Hasn’t Ended Us As a Country, Lack of Quality Education Has” – Writer Bunmi
Nigerian lady identified as Bunmi has addressed people who say “Religion has ended us” in Nigeria.
According to her, the problem with Nigeria isn’t religion but lack of quality education and pragmatic thinking.
This is coming after some people have questioned the ban of religious activities of more than 50 people and a teacher was also reported telling students that the cure of Covid-19 is the “blood of Jesus.”
She tweeted;
“When I hear religion has ended this country, I laugh because its the same disease affecting every binary thinking Nigerian.
“Religion hasn’t ended us. A lack of quality education that favors pragmatic thinking has.
“The Jews are highly religious and generally regarded as smart.”

She added;
“Clearly 84% of the world’s population is not pragmatic because they are religious ?
“Maybe I need to define ‘religious’ or we need a larger demographic to draw from to understand that religious is not the opposite of critical thinking or pragmatism.“
