Issa-Onilu says Wadume is throwing whatever he could lay his hands on into the fray since he is about to get justice.
Says such budget was in the era of PDP.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has told suspected kidnap kingpin, Bala Hamisu aka Wadume to reveal the name of those who gave him the N13 million he claimed to have collected to help the ruling party prosecute the 2019 presidential election.
iDONSABI reports that Wadune had in an interview alleged that the ruling party gave him the said sum which he spent seven million from.
Wadume was recently arrested by the Police on the allegation kidnaping. He was first freed by some soldiers who killed Police officers who arrested initially.
Reacting to the comment, APC National Publicity Secretary in a statement said the ruling party never budgeted for thugs in the 2019 general election.
The kidnap kingpin also confessed to defrauding a civil servant from Ibi of N30million and that he supported PDP after he took his supporters out of YDP which he came out as a House of Assembly candidate.
Issa-Onilu who dismissed the allegations said his party did not have a budget for thugs in the last general election, saying such era ended with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“It is expected that the alleged kidnapper, having come face to face with justice, would throw whatever he could lay his hands on into the fray.
“In any case, our party did not have a budget for thugs. Unlike the period when the ruling party dipped hands into the public treasury to fund political campaigns and elections, APC had to rely on its own resources. Even if we had all the money, we would never allocate money for kidnappers and murderers. That era ended with PDP.
“Perhaps, he can name whoever gave him money. Definitely, it was not APC. From his purported confession, he claimed to be a PDP member before he went on to contest under another party,” he said.
