Sen. Ademola Adeleke arrested to be arraigned tomorrow

– The report made it known that he will be arraigned tomorrow

A new report has confirmed that Sen. Ademola Adeleke from Osun State has been arrested by the Nigerian Police Force.

According to an earlier report, the Senator was due to travel out of the country on Tuesday, May 6 for medical check up but went ahead to honour the police request today but ended up being detained.

As it stands, the Osun State Senator will not able to travel tomorrow because the latest report revealed that he would be arraigned on Tuesday as well.

The arrest of Sen. Ademola Adeleke has been confirmed by the Police Force PRO, Frank Mba.

Frank Mba in his statement said the Senator was taken into the Police custody this evening in connection with ongoing criminal investigations related to him.

He said: “Senator Adeleke is currently in police custody. He was taken into custody in the evening of today 6th May 2019 in connection with ongoing criminal investigations touching on his person.

ACP Frank Mba however, added that the Senator has been served with relevant charge sheet containing his offence as expected of the law.

He added that the serving senator will be arraigned tomorrow.

“Meanwhile, in the best tradition of natural justice and fair hearing, he has already been served with the relevant charge sheet containing his alleged offences in the presence of his Attorneys. He will be arraigned in a competent court of law tomorrow, 7th May 2019,” Frank Mba added.

The Peoples Democratic Party PDP had earlier reacted to Sen. Ademola Adeleke been detained.

Sen. Ademola Adeleke contested in the Osun State Governorship election.
