Sen. Ben Bruce says he is surprised that his colleagues at the Senate and the Executive have not seen the potential in electric cars

– Sen. Ben Murray Bruce has expressed his surprise at his colleagues in the Senate and in the Executive over their failure to see the potential in electric cars

Having made a move for the bill to phase out fuel power cars to be replaced by electric cars which were not accepted at the Senate, Sen. Ben Murray Bruce in another statement has stressed that he is surprised that his colleagues in the Senate and the executives are yet to the potential in electric cars.

He disclosed that electric cars cannot be stopped and it is best to prepare for the future now.

The Bayelsa state senator also made it known that the use of electric cars will force the government to fix the power infrastructure, which will itself have multiplier effects for our economy.

Below is what Sen. Ben Murray Bruce said,

The future is not something we await and then we adjust to. No. No. No! The future is something we anticipate and prepare for. In fact, people no longer anticipate and prepare for the future. They now create it. By creating cheap electric cars, the West has killed petrol cars.

Anyone thinking they can stop the rise of electric cars by ignoring it or wishing it away is burying their heads in the sand like an ostrich and hoping that others do not see them. Electric cars are the future. There is no stopping them. You either accept or die with petrol cars

People think I am disappointed the Nigeria Senate killed my Electric Car Bill. I‘m not disappointed as much as I‘m flabbergasted. You cant stop the future! And let me tell you, electric cars are the future. The reality in the world today is that electric cars are outselling regular cars.

Electric cars will force us to fix our power infrastructure, which will itself have multiplier effects for our economy because it will provide power, which is the lifeblood of a modern economy. I am surprised my Nigerian Senate colleagues and the Executive have not seen this potential.
