#SexForGrades: BBC Africa Releases Documentary On Sexual Harassment By Lecturers In West Africa’s Prestigious Universities

The hashtag #Sexforgrades is currently trending on Nigeria Twitter with over 190 thousand tweets after BBC Africa released the first video of a documentary by Kiki Mordia exposing sexual harassment by lecturers in West Africa prestigious university.

The released video was centered on University of Lagos in Nigeria and University of Ghana in Ghana.

The video exposed a professor, Dr. Boniface who is a lecturer in UniLag. Apart from being a lecturer, he is a pastor at Four Square Gospel Church.

Some girls were interviewed in the video and they revealed how they were sexually harassed by the same lecturer. One of them confessed it happened to her four times and she nearly killed herself.

To expose the lecturer, a girl was sent to his office with a hidden camera to pretend as a 17-year-old in search for admission. In the secret video, Dr Boniface said and did things that found him guilty for sexual harassment and misconduct.
