– Shehu Sanni disclosed he was not given the privilege to speak during the plenary

Nigerian Senator and business mogul, Sen. Ben Murray Bruce has in the past few days been speaking and writing about how Nigeria is refusing to embrace electric cars while it is becoming obvious that it is set to overtake fuel powered vehicle.

Sen. Ben Bruce in one of his statement disclosed that the world has started using electric trains but Nigeria is stuck with diesel powered trains.

He said, “the world has moved to electric trains and Nigeria is borrowing billions of US Dollars from China to build diesel powered trains. I weep for my country. Those trains are going obsolete. It is like taking a bank loan to buy a VCR cassette company. Who still uses cassettes in 2019?”

Ben Bruce disclosed he pushed for an electric car bill but it was buried by the Nigerian Senate.

However, Sen. Shehu Sanni in a recent statement revealed what actually happened in the House.

He disclosed that when Ben Bruce moved his motion on electric cars, some senators were permitted to speak but most of them lashed at him.

Shehu Sanni added that when it was Sen. Dino Melaye’s turn to speak the latter sent the bill to it early grave.

Sanni revealed he was, however, not permitted to speak.

He wrote on Twitter, “When Ben Murray Bruce moved his motion on electric cars, Senators permitted to speak came out with Koboko and lashed at him; When it was Sen. Dino Melaye’s time to speak, Ben thought a savior has come, until Dino Brought out a cable whip and the motion was sent to its early grave; I wasn’t permitted.”
