Shina Peller Convoy Attacked In Oyo State | Berates Political Violence

Club owner turned politician, Shina Peller has criticized the use of violence in achieving political gains. The convoy of the founder of famous Quilox club was attacked with his mother and wife nearly wounded.

Shina made this revelation via his Instagram handle sharing photos and videos from the incident. The CEO’s campaign vehicles were attacked during the Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency.

Mr. Peller said it was saddening that such an incident had happened and that he had always made sure he preached against political violence.

He added that one of the major reasons he was into politics was to ensure unity and peaceful coexistence between members of his constituency given that disunity plays a huge part in underdevelopment.

He said that it was as a result of incidents like this that people who have a chaste resolve to serve their people are discouraged from participating in politics.

Prior to this, Shina Peller said:

“After touring the three other local governments in my constituency, we returned to Iseyin with our leader, Governor Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State. The governor addressed thousands of people gathered and even promised to grant our yearning for the establishment of University in Iseyin

“However, to my dismay, my convoy was attacked on my way home, and cars destroyed by some opposition political thugs. My mother and wife almost got wounded. Why should any politician go violent on the opposition if truly such a person is driven by the desire to serve his people positively by venturing into politics”, he said.

The club owner is running for a seat at the Federal House of Representatives at the back of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

iDONSABI.com earlier reported that FCT Minister Musa Bello narrowly escaped death in a violent clash between supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and those of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
