“Sugar Rush” Suspended From Playing In Cinemas

The producers of Sugar Rush have announced that the movie has been suspended from playing in cinemas dues to “issues that are way beyond our control.”

Sugar Rush produced by Jade Osiberu and starring Adesua Etomi, Bisola Aiyeola, Tobi Bakre, Mawuli Gavor, Bimbo Ademoye amongst others started showing in cinemas on Christmas day.

Less than two weeks since its release, the movie has reportedly made over 150 million Naira.

Announcing the suspension of the movie, the official page of “Sugar Rush” on Twitter wrote:

“Thank you all SO MUCH for the support that our film “Sugar Rush” has received. Unfortunately, due to issues that are way beyond our control, #SugarRushMovie has been suspended from playing in Cinemas.

“2. We are hoping that these issues will be resolved quickly, so we can resume screening the film ASAP. 

“We did everything within our power and sacrificed a lot to make a movie you’d love and we appreciate the support and incredible demand thus far. Please don’t give up on us now

“Pls stay positive and hopeful with us! We have put so much into this film…Your love and support so far has been amazing! 

“We are optimistic that the film will be allowed to go back on your screens sometime soon.

“We promise to keep you updated.
