Tens of Thousands of You Cannot Shut Me Up on Twitter, Fisayo Soyombo Tells E-Soldiers
Investigative Journalist, Fisayo Soyombo has said that those whom he described as E-soldiers can never shut him up on Twitter.
It could be recalled that Soyombo, a former editor with The Cable and Sahara Reporters, spent five days in a police cell and eight days as an inmate in Ikoyi Prison, Lagos State, to uncover what has been labeled as the systematic rot of the criminal justice system in Nigeria.
The effort has been commended globally. It was recently applauded by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola whose jurisdiction falls under the Nigerian Correctional Service.
Soyombo had gone into hiding after he was hinted of a possible arrest by the government over the investigation which uncovered some wroth in Nigeria’s criminal justice system.
Soyombo took to his Twitter page on Wednesday, saying he remains undeterred about the moves being made to shut him up.
“The e-soldiers contracted by the NCS to discredit my prisons investigation have finally found a voice. Back then, their game was exposed before the cheques arrived. Expect many of them to descend on this tweet.
“NB: Tens of thousands of you cannot shut me up on Twitter. Never!,” he tweeted.

Recall that his article has got a lot of reactions as many calls for adequate reforms in the Nigeria Police Force and the NCS.
The journalist had earlier stated that it will be a great disservice if nothing is done to improve the system after unveiling several flaws in it.
