Boko Haram Terrorists have once again murdered another high-ranking military officer. This time an Army Colonel met his untimely death at the hands of the dreaded Islamic sect.

Lieutenant Colonel, O. Umusu, was killed by Boko Haram insurgents in Borno after his squad fell into an ambush set by the dreaded sect.

The late Umusu, was the Commanding Officer, 118 Task Force Battalion in the terrorist-striken Borno State. The Colonel met his death alongside his security details, following an unanticipated ambush by the Boko Haram insurgents on Monday evening.

The terrorists had laid an ambush for the military patrol who were returning from Maiduguri to Baga, along Sari and Gudumbali; the insurgents immediately opened fire.

Not long ago, some dare-devil Boko Haram terrorist had set an ambush which led to the killing of celebrated war hero, Muhammad Abu Ali alongside six members of his patrol team.

The Nigerian Military are yet to release a statement confirming the death of Colonel Umusu, although a source revealed the Nigerian Army are already aware of his death. All effort made to reach the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, Col Sani Usman, to confirm this report proved abortive.
