‘The Real Crime is Poverty’, Aisha Yesufu Reacts to Cardi B’s Planned Application for Nigerian Citizenship

Human right activists, Aisha Yesufu has reacted to the plan of American rapper, Cardi B to apply for Nigerian citizenship.

The American rapper who was formerly a stripper had a nice time during his visit to Nigeria for a two-day event. Since then, she has been willing to come back.

Her request has led to a trending topic in the Twitter community, where she was asking for the name to be called, either Chioma B or Cadijat.

Her request had elicited a reply from the Nigerian Government who welcomed her with warm hands.

Her request for Nigerian citizenship was on the heels an airstrike order issued by President Donald Trump against Iran last week.

Cardi B, who is apparently seeking an escape plan in case of a possible World War between the feuding nations is hoping that her request will be granted.

“As one in charge of the Diaspora for Ngr, We can’t wait to receive you again. Our doors are open, sister. And you need to talk a walk through the Door of Return in Badagry. It’s an indescribable experience,” Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman of Nigerian in Diaspora Commission tweeted.

Reacting to the development, Yesufu who is the co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) Advocacy group tweeted about the prostitutes arrested by men of the Nigeria Police in Abuja.

Recall that the prostitutes were arrested for involving in illegal business and they were convicted in a mobile court in Abuja after some of them alleged being raped by some of the Police officers.

This is indirectly concerning the visit of the American to a strip club which was not seen as against any law.
