Biafra: Nigeria Will Overcome Secession Bid- US

The Ambassador of the US to Nigeria Mr. Stuart Symington has reassured that Nigeria as a nation will overcome against the recent agitations for self-determination and the Republic of Biafra. Disclosing this at the commemoration of the 241st anniversary of the independence of the United States, he preached peace and unity among the various ethnic groups.

 

INEC Sacks Sekibo

The Independent National Electoral Commission has sacked George Thompson Sekibo who was the senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District and replaced him with Mr. Andrew Uchendu. Furthermore, INEC directed that the certificate of return be collected from Sekibo and handed to Uchendu.

 

Badoo Kills Couples and 2 Children

In a class suit to challenge alleged infringements of his fundamental human rights filed before a Lagos State Federal High Court, he urged the court to direct the police to either charge him immediately or release him.

A top EFCC investigator by name Austin Okwor was on Wednesday shot by unidentified gunmen I Port-Harcourt, Rivers State. Confirming the incident, the spokesman of EFCC described the attack as an assassination plot, however, the victim was able to escape with his life despite sustaining several bullet wounds.
