Tottenham Battered By Serge Gnabry Four-Goal Haul In Bayern 7-2 Win

Tottenham took the fight to Bayern Munich but at the end of the game were left staring at an irretrievably 7-2 mauling by the Bavarians.

It was even more embarrassing that the leader of the onslaught was a former player of their fierce North London rivals, Arsenal in Serge Gnabry.

At 55 minutes on the clock, there was a face of pure bewilderment amongst Spurs defenders after Gnabry shredded the North London club just within three minutes of his first goal.

Pochettino has been accused of fighting with one hand behind his back this and this huge defeat further proves that point.

Gnabry was the king of the night and as soon as he completed his four-goal haul, the Lilywhites wilted away shamefully.

It is hard to think that the former Arsenal player once spent an unhappy loan spell at West Bromwich Albion under the reins of Tony Pulis in the 2015-16 season. The player has evolved into a top class player since departing England’s top-flight and was the star of the game with his pace and precision.

His first is arguably the pick of the bunch. He first sent shockwaves all across the White Hart Lane with his incredible acceleration after tearing away from an attempted tackle by Serge Aurier.

In a flash, he got to the edge of Spurs box, cutting inside of Toby Alderweireld and sending the ball into the far bottom corner away from the reach of Hugo Lloris.

With this heavy loss, Spurs remain with only one point following their 2-2 draw a fortnight ago while Bayern hold on to pole position on their group.

The Lilywhites have never been battered so bad as to concede seven goals. Indeed, no English team has suffered so much damage in Europe.

The scars would definitely run deep and many fear that the club might continue to derail from this time forth.
