Tottenham Vs Leicester City EPL 10 February Review

Tottenham continued their league winning run since the injury to Harry Kane when they made light work of Leicester City defeating the Foxes by a 3-1 scoreline.

It must be said that Leicester created the game’s first half chances. Centre-back Harry Maguire was the first to put Hugo Lloris to the test after directing a powerful header towards the post.

Son Heung-Min once again showed his hunger for goal – an attribute fans of the Lilywhites admire him for – but all of that counted for only a yellow card when Michael Oliver booked him for a diving simulation following a challenge by Harry Maguire within the box. That should have been a penalty for the Spurs

The unrelenting South Korean soon released Danny Rose to cut the ball and try a shot at goal but Kasper Schmeichel stood in the way.

A corner kick soon followed with Kieran Trippier picking up his set-piece responsibilities. He passed the ball to Eriksen outside the penalty area before the Dane flicked in a full-flighted cross for a Davinson Sanchez header.

With this goal, the clamour for Vardy to come on gathered momentum with the English man coming onto the pitch in the 57th minute.

Leicester won a penalty following Vertonghen’s challenge on Maddison just at the moment of Vardy’s substitution.

Vardy came on to and took the penalty only for it to be saved by Hugo Lloris. Later on, Eriksen did the spectacular after swirling in a low shot into the Foxes goal from distance.

Vardy however got a goal later on after receiving a cross from Ricardo Perreira and tucking it into the far corner.

With stoppage time in view, Moussa Sissoko released Son with the South Korean racing from his own half into the Foxes’ and slotting it between Kasper Schmeichel’s legs. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must have thought Son some finishing lessons against Schmeichel.

Tottenham 3-1 Leicester City it ended.
