Fabregas-Midfield maestro signs for AS Monaco

Cesc Fabregas has officially signed for AS Monaco according to a news report by the French Club. The Spain international has penned down a three-and-half year contract at new club, Monaco even though the club had to pay a release fee of €10million to sign the midfielder just six months before his contract expires.

Fabregas has made 198 appearances for the club with a total of 22 goals and 57 assists. The midfielder was a pivotal part of the Chelsea team that won two PL titles and would be looking to replicate that in his new club. In effect, he has been incredible in the final third for the Blues and they will definitely miss the creativity he brings to the table.

He has gone on to join former Arsenal striker and teammate, Thierry Henry, who now manages Monaco. Another key point is that he will be joining former Chelsea technical director, Michael Emenalo.

What this deal could mean? Fabregas who has been used to playing for top teams such as Barcelona, Arsenal and Chelsea will have to put in man-of-the-match performances every single time for the struggling side.

Monaco are in a precarious situation as the French side may fall into relegation at the end of the season. The big question however is this: Can Fabregas be the Messiah?

AC Milan in possible move for Fellaini?

AC Milan are back in contention to sign Man United midfielder according to Calciomercato. The Italian club had previously offered to sign the midfielder last year before the Belgian signed a new contract that would see him remain at Old Trafford till 2020. However, the ‘former’ Italian giants are hopeful that a deal could come through.

What the deal could mean?

Milan have experienced a down hill in performances lately and will be looking to come out of. If this rumored signing comes out true, it will be a step in the right direction for the club. The big Belgian would  definitely bring stability to the team’s midfield. and is therefore a necessary signing this transfer window.
