Unknown Armed Bandits In Nasarawa State Kill 15 People and Injures 11 Others In Fresh Attack

No fewer than fifteen people have been confirmed to have died and 11 others injured after unknown armed bandits attacked Numa Kochu village in Nasarawa State on Sunday, April 14th.

Police authorities in the Nasarawa state area confirmed the number of people to have died to be around 15 and also confirmed the number of people that sustained injuries to be 11.

According to the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations in the Nasarawa state Police command identified as Umar Nadada, he stated that the tragic incident occurred on Sunday night.

Umar Nadada identified as a Deputy Commissioner of Police, further stressed that the attack took place in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa state.

Nadada also explained that some residents of the community were having a birthday party when the gunmen attacked them in the area killing 15 and injuring 11.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Umar Nadada, informed newsmen that a pregnant woman was among those who lost their lives while the injured sustained several degrees of wounds.

Umar Nadada concluded by saying that the dead bodies of the victims have been deposited at the General Hospital in Akwanga and those injured were also receiving treatment also.

Nadada also made it clear that the community in which the tragic incident occurred has been restored back to normal after security operatives were sent there.
