Two Canadian ladies working in Ghana as a charity worker have been abducted by unknown gunmen on Tuesday evening.
According to the report, the students were age 19 and 20 respectively. They work as a volunteer for a charity organization affiliated with Youth Challenge International a development organisation based in Toronto.
The unknown gunmen kidnapped the ladies outside their apartment in the Ahodwo district and bundled into a car, police said. The case has been reported and the policemen are on their toes to rescue the ladies from the den of their abductors.
Assistant commissioner of Police, David Eklu while speaking with news men said:
“Security agencies are working closely together to get them rescued, and the perpetrators arrested,” said David Eklu, Assistant Commissioner of Police.
Their abduction has been confirmed by the Canadian government through Global Affairs Canada and they are working tirelessly with the Ghanaian authorities to get the perpetrators arrested.
