Unknown Gunmen Abducts APC’s Edo State House of Assembly Candidate

The All Progressives Congress candidate for the Edo State House of Assembly identified to be Michael Ohio-Ezomon, has been abducted by unknown gunmen from his home at Eme-Ora, Owan West Local Government Area of Edo state.

The chairman of the Edo state local government known to be Frank Illaboya confirmed the incident of the abduction by unknown gunmen today. According to Frank Illaboya, he stated that Micheal Ohio-Ezomon, the victim, was abducted by three gunmen at about 1 am, very early on Thursday morning.

In addition, Frank illaboya also stated that Micheal Ohio-Ezomon’s police orderly were killed by those who abducted him as both parties exchanged fire and they took him away through the window.

Furthermore, the state police commissioner also confirmed the incident which took place. The state police commissioner is identified to be Hakeem Odumosu.

According to his statement, he said that Micheal Ohio-Ezomon was asleep in his home when the unknown gunmen forced their way in and abducted him at about 1 am today. The police boss said no contact had been established with the gunmen.

However, the dead bodies of the orderly have been deposited in a mortuary around the area.

His statement read as thus: “Our candidate in the forthcoming election has been abducted by three gunmen at his house at about 1: am this morning. “The orderly attached to him was killed and our candidate was taken away by gunmen through the window. “As I speak to you now, there has been no contact from the abductors.”

The Edo commissioner of police, Hakeem Odumosu, the Edo commissioner of police informed sources at the scene of the incident that investigation would begin immediately.

He furthered stated no contact had been established with the unknown gunmen.

It was also gathered that the abducted APC house of assembly candidate had earlier represented Owan West constituency in Edo state assembly between 2011 and 2015.
