Unknown Gunmen Kidnap Taraba State University Deputy Registrar

Unknown gunmen in Taraba state who are suspected to be kidnappers on Tuesday morning kidnapped one Mr Sanusi Sa’ad, identified as the Deputy Registrar Administration of the Taraba State University, Jalingo.

Dr Samuel Shikaa, identified as the Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Taraba State University chapter, who confirmed the incident to journalists in Jalingo, stated that Mr Sanusi Sa’ad who is as well known to be the Information and Protocol Officer of the university was picked from his residence at the university staff quarters at about 1 am.

According to Dr Samuel Shikaa, the unknown suspected kidnappers invaded the deputy registrar’s residence through the back side of the Taraba State University that was not fenced and took him to an unknown destination.

Kalid Sa’ad identified as the brother to the victim making it clear that the kidnappers had contacted him and demanded ransom for his release.

Meanwhile, the brother to the victim failed to mention the amount being demanded, stressing that he was still negotiating with the kidnappers about the amount of ransom which is to be paid.
