Victor Moses Move To Fernabache – A Step In The Right Direction

Nigeria International and Chelsea winger, Victor Moses has completed his medical and secured a loan move to Turkish side, Fernabache.

Moses has completed an 18months loan deal to Fernabache which would see him remain at the club till the end of the 2019/2020 season.

The 28-yr-old who made just six appearances for the Blues this term and only 26 minutes of them in the Premier league will be hopeful of gaining more playing time in his new club.

The Nigerian will be willing and ready to help fifteenth place Fernabache keep off the dreaded relegation zone.

With Chelsea having secured a coach like Maurizzio Sarri who plays the loved aesthetic kind of football, there were no signs of telling that Moses would soon fade out in the team.

The Blues head coach who is more interested in a possession based football has found no use for the Nigerian in his team.

Speaking for Victor Moses, the Nigerian has never played that kind of football and would find it hard playing under the Italian gaffer generally speaking.

Recall that after a match with Crystal Palace at the Bridge, Sarri pointed out that the wideman was best suited to a wing-back role rather than a right back role in a back-four formation.

“Moses is more suitable for playing wing-back than as a winger or a full-back, I think. I don’t know if he has a future at Chelsea. He has to improve but his characteristics are a little bit different to the others”, he said.

This might seem odd for so many considering that Victor Moses played this role during his stints at Crystal Palace, Wigan and loan moves to West Ham and Liverpool.

Seeing that the Nigerian isn’t a match for Sarri, a move to Turkey is definitely a step in the right direction.

Although, it was only a loan move, it could well be the Nigerian’s last playing days for Chelsea and the player should be looking to ply his trade elsewhere.
