Victor Osimhen Nets Fourth Goal In Two Games For Lille

Victor Osimhen scored another brace in Lille’s 3-0 defeat of Saint-Etienne in the France Ligue 1. The Super Eagles centre forward was on rampage as he helped his new club to a comfortable with  over Saint Etienne.

The Nigeria International came off the bench to outshine duo Denis Bouanga and Ryad Boudebouz, scoring on both sides of the break.

Lille gaffer, Christophe Galtier started Loic Remy in striker position but an injury to Remy forced the hands of the manager to throw 20 year old Osimhen into the fray.

Just like expected, the Super Eagles striker did not disappoint as he placed Lille ahead with his 37th-minute strike thanks to Domagoj Bradaric’s assist.

With 69 minutes on the clock, Cote d’Ivoire prospect Jonathan Bamba doubled the lead from the spot before Victor Osimhen made it three only five minutes later.

Victor traps the ball after latching on to a cross from the left before unleashing a beautiful shot on the spin into the far corner of the net.

And while his career at Lille has barely begun, his made a prolific start to the season, racing to the top of the Ligue 1 goal scoring charts. With 4 goals in 2 games and many more likely to come, he might well become a firm favourite for the Stade Pierre-Mauroy faithful.

Lille sit on fourth position in the Ligue 1 standings with six points after four games.
