VP Yemi Osinbajo discloses why he was absent at security meeting dismisses rumours that he has resigned

According to the latest report, Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has reacted to the rumours that he has resigned.

The Vice Pres. dismissed the report as he termed it a fake news, he however urged Nigerians not listen to such report.

Earlier today, there had been a rumour making round that the Vice Pres. resigned and flared up because he was not at the security meeting.

However, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo in his statement disclosed he was absent at the security meeting because he was busy in his office while the meeting was going on.

He added that the same security chiefs that met with Pres. Muhammad Buhari also held meeting with him the same day.

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo reiterated that his unalloyed loyalty remained with the President and he disclosed that fake news is always on the rise in this kind of season.

According to a statement released by President Muhammadu Buhari’s New Media aide, Bashir Ahmed, he also debunked same rumour on his Twitter handle.

He tweeted, “Misleading/FAKE news is on the rise especially in this season when Nigerians will make a choice about who will govern them for the next four years.

I have not resigned!

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is the running mate of Pres. Muhammadu Buhari under the All Progressive Congress APC as they seek to return to the highest office at the federal level for another four years.
