“We appreciate you, we love you and we are with you. Even during recession, this government remained committed to paying us regularly even our arrears.

According to him, before the present administration took over in 2015, the Federal Government Civil Service Pensioners were owed 42 months in pensions.

While noting that PTAD under the leadership of Sharon Ikeazor had also done so much in ensuring prompt payment of pensions as well as arrears, he, however, urged PTAD to address some hiccups causing delays in the payment of pensions.

He noted that some complaints from his members were not speedily addressed as expected.

Afolayan also appealed to the ministry of finance and the Central Bank of Nigeria to ensure prompt release of funds meant for the pensioners.
