Nigerian Pres. Muhammadu Buhari in a recent statement has once again reassured Nigerians as he is set to commence another four years in power having come out victorious in the 2019 Presidential and National Assembly Election, which took place on the 23rd of February.

Pres. Muhammadu Buhari, who won the election with over 15 million votes to defeat Alh. Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP made this latest promise via his official twitter handle on Wednesday.

According to the Pres., his main focus for the next four years will be on security, infrastructure, job creation and fight against corruption.

The president further assured Nigerians that he will not let them down in the second and last leg of his tenure.

Pres. Buhari assured that at the end of his second term in office, which would end in 2023, he disclosed he would return to home town in Daura, Katsina State to settle down.

Below is the statement from the President official Twitter handle, it read,

At the end of this second and final term, I will, God willing, return to Daura and settle down.

“Until then, I will continue to do my best for Nigeria, in security, infrastructure, jobs, fighting corruption.

“I will work even harder than I have done; I will not let Nigerians down.”

Prior to this statement, President Muhammadu Buhari had assured Nigerians that he would work harder in his second term.

The Pres. will be sworn in on the 29th of May to officially commence his second term in office.

    It is ironical that Nigerians are expecting a literate return from an illiterate President. Nigeria may as well return to pre neolithic age.
