Why Femi Gbajabiamila should be elected as Speaker of House of Reps – FFK

– Femi Fani Kayode has called for the support of Femi Gbajabiamila as the new Speaker of the House of Representatives

– Fani Kayode went ahead to list out why the APC and PDP members of House of Reps should vote Femi Gbajabiamila

The inauguration of the 9th National Assembly will take place on Tuesday and there would be voting amidst the law makers on who would become the new Senate President for the Senate and the new Speaker for the House of Representatives.

Ahead of the voting exercise on Tuesday, Nigerian former Min. for Aviation and legal practitioner, Femi Fani-Kayode has called for support for Femi Gbajabiamila to be elected as the new Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Fani Kayode in his statement stressed that he doesn’t like how Gbajabiamila conducted his campaign, he however, declared that he believed that he deserves to be elected as the next Speaker.

The former Minister went ahead to give reasons Gbajabiamila should be elected, he said  the latter is not a criminal and has not been convicted of anything in America.

He added that Gbajabiamila is his own man, he is not a stooge, he is cerebal, he is not a coward, he is tough and he loves his wife, family and country deeply and passionately.

Femi Fani Kayode said, “I don’t like Femi Gbajabiamila’s APC
or the way he conducted aspects of his campaign or the way he emphasised his Muslim faith and bowed before a northern Muslim cleric. However I STILL believe that he deserves to be elected Speaker of the House and I support his candidacy.

I have known him for 40 years and I assure you that he is NOT a criminal, he has NOT been convicted of anything in America, he is his own man, he is not a stooge, he is cerebal, he is not a coward, he is tough and he loves his wife,family and country deeply and passionately.

Besides which Lagos state and his Surulere constituency, deserve to have the position of Speaker after all these years. I urge all those in the House of Reps from both PDP and APC to vote for Femi Gbajabiamila
