Harry Kane has been linked with a big-money move to Manchester United but ex-Tottenham goalkeeper, Paul Robinson can’t see that happening.
The English striker has a switch to Old Trafford mooted but Paul Robinson thinks there’s no reason why an ambitious Kane would make a move to the red half of Manchester.
Although the English International hasn’t made his intentions of leaving Spurs known, transfer rumour mills are already linking him with a move away from North London.
Manchester United legend and former captain, Roy Keane identifies the England captain as the kind of player the club needs.
It is also suggested in many quarters that Kane could look elsewhere if the Lilywhite fail to lift any silverware in spite of the presence of their talismanic striker.
Ex-Tottenham star, Robinson quite agrees with that school of thought but can’t see any reasons why the move should be to United.
He told Sky Sports: “It depends what level of player you are.
“Manchester United are constantly linked to Harry Kane. There is always a link to Manchester United with Harry Kane.
“I can’t see now why Harry Kane would want to change Tottenham for Manchester United.
“I think he would get more success at Tottenham than he would in the current Manchester United side.
“If there’s an opportunity for foreign players to go to Manchester United, who want to play in this country, of course it’s going to be an attraction.
“It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world, historically, yes they’re in a position of transition at the moment and things do need to change.
“Will that change? We’ll see. I think this season they’re a long way off where they should be and where they need to be.”
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the transfer rumour says for United it’s about working hard. He is adamant that the club would see a massive change in their fortunes as Anthony Martial returns to help Marcus Rashford upfront.
