- Fani Kayode slammed Osinbajo on kidnapping comment.
- Lauded T.B Joshua, Nnamdi Kanu, IUPOB and South East Governors over their stance on Miyetti Allah.
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has lambasted Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for saying kidnapping cases in the country were sometimes exaggerated for political effect.
Osinbajo stated this when addressing Nigerians based in New York on Monday when answering questions about kidnapping, which is a major part of Nigeria’s worsening insecurity.
“With respect to general kidnapping which we have seen in parts of the country, again, this is not entirely new. In fact, some of the kidnapping stories you read or listen to are simply not true anywhere, some are fuelled by politics,” he said.
“Kidnapping in Nigeria is exaggerated and not entirely new…social media tends to be hysterical about everything”-
“This is a pernicious, perfidious, insidious, malevolent, repugnant and dirty LIE. It is the mendacity of the century: a LIE from the pit of hell.”
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain also lauded the General Oversea of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Pastor T.B Joshua for what he has been doing across the world.
“He has moved mountains in Colombia, Mexico, Indonesia, Paraguay, Brazil, South Korea, Singapore, Peru, Tanzania and so many other countries. Now he is making waves in UK and Israel. Next is France. Whilst you keep running him down Prophet T.B.Joshua is winning nations for Jesus!”
He also took out his time to commend the leader of the proscribed group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPoB), Nnamdi Kanu and the South East governors for rejecting the request made by herdsmen in the states.
“I am impressed by the courage that my friend and brother Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB,MASSOB, Ohaeneze and now the Igbo Governors have displayed by rejecting the request made by Miyetti Allah to arm Fulani herdsmen in the East. By doing this they have saved many lives. Kudos to them all.
“I read with disgust the response of Miyetti Allah to the rejection of their demand to have a militia in the east. To say you will take Igboland by force because they won’t allow you to arm ur Fulani herdsmen is dangerous and reckless. You are baying for blood and begging for war!”
