‘Your Victory Is for All Lovers of Democracy’, Okorocha Congratulates Buhari
- Says Buhari can now concentrate on running the affairs of the country.
- Lauds Tribunal members and Atiku for following due process of the law.
Former Imo Governor, Rochas Okorocha has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
The Tribunal recently dismissed the suit filed against his reelection by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the February 23 Presidential election, Atiku Abubakar.
Okorocha, who is the present lawmaker representing Imo West Senatorial District in the Senate in press release issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Sam Onwuemeodo, said that the president’s victory is for all ”lovers of democracy in and outside the country as it signifies a light at the end of the tunnel for Nigeria’s democracy.”

According to Okorocha, with the victory, the president would be more encouraged to continue to work for the unity, progress and peace of the nation, without the distractions of the case.
While commending the tribunal members for making the nation proud, Okorocha lauded Atiku for “giving a good account of himself and for his contributions to the nation’s democracy.”
